3.02.10 ocean minded & west ambassors Jason Miller, Craig Macia, Corban Campbell and Frankie D headed down to Strands to get a few waves and check the beach out after the recent series of storms that battered southern California. They found a lot more then scattered sandbars and empty peaks. The shoreline and rocks were filled with sea trash that has been on the ocean floor for years. On the way to surf they took 15 minutes to clean up before we surfed and found some serious rubbish. Anything from old lobster pots, snorkel gear, zip ties, bottles and tons of plastic. In all we collected 35 pounds of trash in 15 minutes. It was a good opening to a fun little surf and thanks to Nathan French for taking the great photos.
